WHAT IS MP3?
MP3 stands for "Moving Pictures Experts Group - Layer 3" which is an international standard for audio and video compression that has become extremely popular in recent years. Audio files recorded in this manner retain very high quality while using much less space on a CD (compact disc). CD's recorded in the MP3 format will play in all computers, most home DVD players, many home CD players, and about half of all newer car stereos and "Walkman" style players. Look for the "MP3" logo on the CD player.
In most cases, purchasing MP3 discs will save so much money that you can easily buy any player you want for home or car use with the cash you save by NOT buying the regular CDA discs.
